About the Artist

Dannielle Mick

Distant Mist.jpg

Dannielle Mick creates works of art in all mediums. Her art is inspired by the natural world, featuring sea, sky, and landscapes.  She likes to maintain a sense of simplicity and

finds beauty in every day surroundings .

“I try to portray the very essence of nature with careful studied attention to lighting, color and a sense of space. I  hope to convey to the viewer a moment in time and an emotional connection. There is a story in the landscape and I enjoy taking something ordinary and making it important.”

She describes her work as tonalist inspired by such painters such as George Inness: overcast mornings, misty lake scenes and stormy seas.” My passion is to capture the ever changing seasons in nature.”
